The tour begins in the morning with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco as we head towards the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be in the picturesque town of Maras, known for its colonial streets and stone doorways that still preserve the essence of its history. From there, we will continue to the famous Maras Salt Mines, an impressive complex of over 3,000 salt ponds that have been used since Inca times and are still worked by local families today. You will have time to explore the area and take beautiful photos.
Next, we will visit Moray, a unique archaeological site that stands out for its circular agricultural terraces. These structures were used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory to adapt different crops to various microclimates. Here, the guide will explain the importance of this site and its role in Andean culture. After the visit, we will return to Cusco in the afternoon, concluding this enriching cultural and natural experience.
